Immigrant Youth Achievement Award

Congratulations to Aditya Sood for winning the Immigrant Youth Achievement Award!

Each year, the American Immigration Council’s Immigrant Youth Achievement Award honors one individual whose personal and professional accomplishments exemplify the positive contributions young immigrants make to our nation each and every day.

The 2015 Immigrant Youth Achievement Award goes to Aditya Sood, co-founder of Working Together for Change, a student-led nonprofit with the mission to educate, engage and motivate others to help the those living in poverty. Working Together for Change began with a backpack project that provided bags and books for youth in need and now has evolved into the implementation of health care initiatives that have brought relief to thousands of people and has raised over $20,000. A nationally ranked debater and debate team captain, Aditya also sits on the Future Business Leaders of America National Regional Advisory Council and United Way’s Regional Commission on Homelessness. He has won numerous academic awards, excelled in international business competitions, and interned at UPenn Health and GSU’s Neuroplasticity Lab.
